About the ArtistHi there! I'm NaShantá Fletcher, a Graphic Artist, Illustrator and Emmy Nominated visual storyteller. I'm a Chicago native, living in suburbs with my family. I currently work as Manager of News Graphic Design for WGN America. I've worked in broadcast television for 15 years, most notably as a Graphic Artist for the WGN Morning News.
Outside of my day job, I work as a freelance illustrator (and work on my webcomic when I manage to find time). My art is primarily done digitally with Procreate and Clip Studio Paint. I also love to work with watercolor, ink, and illustration markers. I illustrated the front and back cover art for the Young Stracke All-Stars 10th anniversary vinyl album. I'm also an active member of the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators). My "Girl Power" illustration won the SCBWI Draw This contest in October 2018. For children's books, I'm represented by Lara Perkins of Andrea Brown Literary Agency |
